Mine's been getting good lately. I've been teaching little kids to play so I've actually had to show good fundamentals, and it really helps. I think I made six mid-rangers in a row the other day, and I usually suck ass at shooting. Is anyone just ridiculously good?

the only thing i can ever do is nail 3's. in college i was really good at them. leave me open and id probably nail it. i used to play the intramural games in college. i remember one game i hit like 4 straight 3's. i remember being all hyped up too. haha. then later in the game i missed a wide open layup. i mean, didnt even hit the rim. i just slammed it off the backboard like I was Philip Seymour Hoffman in Along Came Polly...

i had a pretty good longrange game when i played in high school. it's gradually faded over time, since usually when i play pickup games i'm one of the taller players and people want me to play inside. it kills me to let guys that can't even handle the ball play PG just because they're shorter.

Yep, I hear you there tab...
I've been helping coach young kids in our "Aussie Hoops" (6 - 10 year olds) program lately and been showing my son a few bits and pieces. The shot's slowly coming back but man, I'm still pretty sweet from the line.
Having said that I tried a few 3's after training last Sunday. Man, not good.... Let It Rain!

man i used to be good. back in the day when i played with black kids everyday lol.
now i suck. i can run the point pretty good. penetrate and kickout/ layup. thats my game. and i shoot okay on catch and shoot stuff.

learning how to 'properly' shoot and make a jumpshot was the hardest thing for me back when i played. it helps a lot to actually have 'hops' to get some lift on your shot too. too bad i didn't have much. i was always better at set shots than going off the dribble anyway. been wanting to get back into it, but even halfcourt can be pretty tiresome for me so that sucks. have looked into ref'ing some too, but i already have a full time job that takes up plenty of time.

that part was hilarious, and i'll laugh at anyone that air balls a layup. that streak of treys was nice though. i think 3 was my max in one game.

my mid range jumper is pretty good. my 3 is really streaky. If i hit one I'll usually hit 2 or 3 more in a row, but if I'm missing I'll miss all night.
I won't take any shot from the baseline though. I've probably only made one 2 shots along the baseline in my whole life.
