Did anyone else watch this on the Discovery Channel last night?

Pretty fascinating. I was only 16 when it occured and didn't pay anyattention to it then. Religious fanaticism is a powerful force.

All the women who lived at Mt Carmel, they had to stop having sex with their husbands and only have sex with Koresh. He fathered 14 kids, some of them with girls under the age of 16. God told him to create an army of God's Children, and so he did.

Is there evidence that the FBI set the fire? There was nothing to indicate that in the Discovery depiction of events.

You should read about The Family. Flirty fishing is nasty business.

there's a doc i saw at the film festival i worked at called children of god... during the Q and A with the director cult members stood up and started yelling at him... then people realized the had equipment to bootleg it, so they ran, and they caught 1 of the three down the block... HBO's lawyers got involved... either way if you can see that documentary i'd reccommend it, it was phenomenal with some insane footage... all the kids who left that cult were sooooooooooo fucked up by it
