This is a pretty messed up movie. Marilyn Manson's video for Cryptorchid includes some footage. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

the imdb plot summary:
God disembowels himself with a straight razor. The spirit-like Mother Earth emerges, venturing into a bleak, barren landscape. Twitching and cowering, the Son Of Earth is set upon by faceless cannibals.

I'm waiting for Loathed's opinion: "meh"
A friend of mine was ranting about wanting to see this film for ages, and then he finally showed me the disemboweling scene on his computer a year or so ago. I was pretty underwhelmed/bored, it could have been shot by graduate students. But damn if that trailer doesn't give anybody nightmares.

I managed to find this movie and watch it a while ago.
Both my roommates fell asleep during it. I managed to stay awake only because I wanted to say I watched the whole thing. It's one of the most excruciatingly boring things I've ever witnessed. Only a few scenes break up the boredom by being even more extremely disturbing than the rest. It's not a horror film so it is not scary, it's just indescribably grim.

If you think the part with god disemboweling himself is creepy, you probably shouldn't watch the movie. On the other hand, it's kind of cool pushing yourself to watch new levels of weirdness.
