considering that Matt has in fact played In My Tree this doesn't seem to make much sense.

Look, I'm as big a Jack fan as you'll get. But Matt played some stellar In My Tree versions in 2000, arguably the best the song has ever been live.

why did he give it up then/ they rework it???

that is the question...

especially given they made it so worse, with a terrible organ and as butchered a chorus as one could have hoped for...

I don't know, but it seems all too easy to blame Matt for the reworking of In My Tree. It could be Eddie's and Boom's fault, you know. Or Stone...

Given the way Matt played In My tree in 2000, and that the re-work of the song came in 2003, I'd say that new version is more to do with Boom than Matt.

agreed, but that's a shitty reason to rework a song in my mind, for a peripheral member

I've often wondered if that pissed anyone off or step on any band-member toes in the process.

given IMT was Ed's song, that probably didn't bother anyone as much as annoy them for a shitty redux version... as for the rest of it, I think it's beyond protesting by the band members... Ed's the leader in their democracy... PS their democracy was the demise of the the band producing great albums

well, if by didn't play you mean "suck at playing," there's a long litany of the heavier ones... Why Go, being one of them, if by don't play you just mean didn't play... Hard to Imagine is one, Angel is another

I'm not sure, but I like you.

I wish you'd change your avatar each month according to the necessary mascot for the months holiday... you could do a mooning easter bunny next month, except those crazy jews created a calendar which doesn't exactly mirror ours and thus easters a week after st. pattys day this year!!
