I just got done watching 'The Girl in the Cafe', and a few days ago i watched 'Once'. Films that, although flawed, seem to have a wonderful humanity about them and they're having a profound effect on me. I don't want to ramble on, but for almost two years now i've been out of sorts with everything and not terribly happy. But these films are making me not want to be alone, they're making me appreciate how important a simple moment with one person can be. Smushy crap i'm talking here, lol.

But can anyone recommend more movies similar to the two i mentioned? They're so simple in their concept; basically stories of two people who randomly meet. But they're bringing out a range of emotions in me that i can't seem to shake. So, i feel like i need to watch more films like this.

lost in translation. story very much like once. and bill murray is a class act in it. a bit slow paced but its up there in my favourites for sure

sorry, i should've also mentioned this in my original post. I've had this on dvd for a couple of years, one of my absolute favourites.

im not as big a film afficianado as some other folks here, but someone should be by soon to give you some suggestions.

either that or to bash lost in translation.

i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but those who dislike Lost In Translation must not be seeing the same film i'm seeing
