The Truth of Paper Boats

i once put all my hopes and dreams inside a paper boat
with four paper sails and a sturdy bow and yet it woudlnt float.
so i lessened its load and forgot some dreams in hopes that it would sail.
but for all its lack of weighty dreams my ship began to fail.

so once again i took some dreams and threw some overboard.
and suddenly with a bob and tilt it sailed off of its own accord.
but as my ship passed out of sight
bleeding into the colors of the sun
i realized my ship held all my pain
but of my dreams, it held none.
