I live about 15-20 minutes away from where Bonnaroo is held every year. This will be my 5th Bonnaroo and I'm very excited to have Pearl Jam there. I was curious if anyone wanted to try a meet up to have fellow Pearl Jam fans ride down there together. The more you ride down together with, the more likely you'll be camped next to one another. This is a good thing, not only will we all have a common interest in Pearl Jam but camping near each other will help to keep our campsites safe. If anyone was interested in this, I know a shortcut which I will not post on here (otherwise everyone would use it and it would be pointless) but it saves the wait in traffic. The meet up would be somewhere in Murfreesboro, more than likely the Wal-mart parking lot right off the interstate, as it's a big place that everyone could recognize.

I was also going to try and do a glow stick war during Pearl Jam set. I know that there are websites where you can purchase glowsticks in bulk and anyone that has ever seen this at Bonnaroo or other festivals knows, if done right, this can be a lot of fun and be a really enjoyable experience. My plan was to have a lot of people get together to purchase glowsticks, then during a common song, like Even Flow, during the Yeah! right before the solo unleash them into the air, having a giant glowstick war during the Even Flow solo. It could work if done right and I'd bet that Pearl Jam has never seen something like that. I think a glowstick campaign would be much better than any sign campaign. The main thing is that they should be Glow Rings so that people don't get hurt.

I'd like to get some feedback and maybe we could meet some fellow Pearl Jam fans.

I'm definitely interested. We have a thread over in the Trading Post about a meet up and have a few people joining us: (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=73144) My Fiancee and I are getting married the weekend before, so this will be our honeymoon. It would be nice to be with somebody local and that's been there before.

What time do you plan on entering? I've heard around noon on Thursday is the best time to go so that you don't get stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

I've got a five day cooler, tent, canopy, radio flyer wagon for transporting water, and a shit load of tarps. I was also thinking of getting this solar shower tent that I saw but I'm not sure yet.

what's a solar shower tent? never heard of it.
