Has anyone heard of this? It's been getting a lot of buzz recently. The story is an animated portrayal of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, I kind of want to see this.

I have it in DVD and it's an amazing movie !
Graphically, it's really beautiful with a lot of references to certains classic paintings (Picasso, Douanier Rousseau, Munch) in some scenes. The story is great, seeing the Iran Revolution, the Islam fondamentalism taking the power and the war with Iraq through the eyes of Marjan, the little girl (who was 8 in 1979). It's a true story based on the autobiographical graphic novel. I recommend you to read the novel and to watch the movie, One complementing the other.

Mildly interesting ??? that's really surprising as I was hooked from the 1st page to the last. What didn't make it for you ?

It's still in theaters in some of the major markets, but I know it's not showing anymore here in Dallas. I was was lucky to catch it on its initial art-house release.

DVD hits in late June.
