and the answer is most likely for the same reasons you don't either.
i do believe humans can have what most call "spiritual" experiences, though i'm not sure we should call it that. we don't currently know much about these experiences as far as i'm aware. i hope science will slowly chip away at the functioning of the brain that allows these types of things.

why should what they call these particluar experiences make a difference?
whatever they are... since I have little idea what you're talking about, anyway.
How does what someone labels these specific experiences have a negative effect on you or the society at large?
"spiritual experience" can mean a multitude of things to a multitude of people, and trying to change terminology for the benefit of specificity gets somewhat 1984-ish to me.

Come on bart, don't be so snidey... besides, it's up to you to prove that it's mumbo-jumbo.
You're getting desperate at this point. I don't have to prove it's mumbo jumbo to not believe in it. And I don't have to prove it to know that anyone who calls Christianity intellectually ridiculous while at the same time defending such beliefs is a hypocrite. I would only have to offer proof if I went around demanding that everyone else stop believing in it. Keep on reachin'.

i'm not really sure. science hasn't really explained them yet. why do we call them spiritual? does dubbing these experience "spiritual" lead people to believe they are outside of explainable phenomena of the brain?

You'd have to ask each and every person that question individually, ceebs. Not me.
My point is, you're being ridiculous in trying to stir up some sort of controversy - and really this is all you've been trying to do with all of these subjects for the last month or so. You asking an unending number of questions like this isn't going to do anything but serve to frustrate you.
You don't agree with what other people believe? I think everyone here respects your right to do so. You think that other people believing the things they do to be dangerous and/or nonsense? I think everyone here respects your right to do so.
You think you should continue this type of argument in some effort to make people change how they perceive reality, life, nature, the Universe, whatever, and continue to force people to argue with you about it when they refuse to NOT believe those things YOU personally don't want them to believe?
in that case, no one will respect you, and you'll continue to get a rain of shit down on you as a result.
You can't tell other people what is and is not a thought crime in this society, you cannot tell people what they should and should not believe in this society, you cannot do anything other than control your own sense of what's right and wrong, and try to live your life to measure up to those standards. trying to get everyone else to do so is not only ridiculous, but ludicrous as well because it won't work. ever. never.
(and in my opinion, that's what all of this is really about, ultimately- you have problems with the idea that you, personally, have very little control over your life, and hey! guess what? that's how it is for EVERYONE, and everyone handles that little realization differently IN THEIR OWN WAY...but that's a completely different subject)
