Wrigley Field is having a concert this year. I had originally heard that it was supposed to be Jimmy Buffett again, however, Jimmy is playing Toyota Park and Alpine. Who that is on tour is big enough to play Wrigley??? Dave Matthews is not allowed to play in the city of Chicago after he dumped poop in the river. The Stones and U2 are not on tour. Tom Petty is already playing United Center. I guess it could be Bruce Springsteen or Bon Jovi....but why not Pear Jam?????

if they do, anyone want to bet Ed's pulling out 'all the way', again (that's a pretty safe bet!)

Where in the heck did you hear that they were banned from playing the City of Chicago? My is guess is that this is a load of crap.
It was part of the class action lawsuit...
What class-action lawsuit? When was this filed? Where? And if there was a settlement or judgment, the band agreed (or was ordered) never to play within the City of Chicago again? Again, I find that hard to believe. Where can I read about this?

It was from when they were driving over one of the Chicago River bridges, and dumped out their TourBus wastes/excrement into the river, only there was a tour going by that very moment and multiple people were splattered. You didn't hear about this??? I take you as a man of Chicago streets. Do you know about the class action lawsuit against Creed, for sucking-- literally?

Sure I heard about all of that (DMB dumping the crap). But you said that there was a class-action lawsuit regarding DMB. That's what I was asking about. Is there not? More importantly, I'm still looking for a source about DMB being banned from performing in the City of Chicago. Like I said, it sounds like a bunch crap.

I had heard that about DMB and Chicago, never knew if it was true or not...regardless--DMB is scheduled to play at Busch Stadium in St Louis this summer with the Black Crowes. This is the first concert ever hosted there, and I believe they are trying to get a total of 3 for this summer. I think the other two are going to be country acts (Kenny Chesney and somebody else). If PJ cant make it to Wrigley, Id sure love to see them in St Louis. Ed, since he is a Cubs fan, may not allow that.

I agree it might not be the ideal concert setting, but for someone like, oh, say, me, who is a huge fan of the cards and of PJ...it would be all too fantastic.

chloe you posted in another thread somewhere on this board that still bothers me when I remember it (that's not intended to sound pejorative, if it seemed like it)
