Oh yeah. Both shows. Fucking amazing time. It was brilliant and as good as the RHCPs were, PJ blew them away. Based on what I saw in 2006, they're even better now.

Yeah, and how often do you see them close a main set with Daughter? That's pretty damn cool.
That's probably my only beef with that show. Just don't care for it in that position.
If you were in the crowd that night, and you realized how loud everyone was during the call and response, you would care for it very much in that position.
That show had the best crowd that I've ever been a part of.

best show ive ever been to (out of 40). the beginning was just insane...i remember after RVM i was exhausted, like thed just played a full show, not 4 songs...in hiding and nohingman were such great highlights that night too...i remember the red lights shining out over the crowd during the `into the sun...burn` lyrics...and eddies speech before betterman was so moving too..this is all just side a...we havent even approached the off he goes dedication to anthony hurley and the playing of alive yet...i will stand firm that hearing those first few chords, considering what they signified that night in terms of healing and hope, is the single greatest moment in live pj history.
hehe i know im saying that to be a bit argumentative but lets see if anyone can come up with a convincing argument to top it

Not a bad word about this Seattle show, my dear Canadian friend, but euh... Long Road - Love Boat Captain - Light Years - Hard to Imagine - Alive - ... at Copenhagen last year.

I know. Thing is, the fact they changed the setlist and closed with a happy RITFW/Yellow Ledbetter is crystal clear proof of the incredible healing that took place in the minds of the the audience + victim's parents/family/friends + band.
Whereas Seattle 00 closed with "this is it, goodbye, enjoy your lives, we'll enjoy ours, bye". Something must have gone wrong in the healing there, don't you think?

I very much doubt it. I've never been a fan of "lower energy" (or "slower" or however you want to label it) songs closing out sets. In general, I like good energetic rocking songs as closers. ( Ledbetter is an obvious exception, but after all the boots I've listened to, I'm quite tired of it). The slower ones usually just leave me ready to get into a rocker, and then nothing comes after it.
