Oh, you know what really bugs me? How "Dead Man" has somehow been transformed into a song called "Dead Man Walking".

Seriously, get it right folks. I think it's even wrong on some parts of pearljam.com.

Actually, Eddie has previously explained that he originally titled the song "Dead Man Walking." He later shortened it to "Dead Man" only because Bruce Springsteen had already submitted an identically titled song for the soundtrack. Eddie has occassionally referred to the song as Dead Man Walking over the years.

Yeah...but...it's still called "Dead Man".

I sort of put it on the same level as calling songs "I'm Still Alive", "Don't Go On Me" etc.

I dunno, it also bugs me immensely to see "Betterman" or "Faithful" - I guess I'm just a pedant.

Sure, I can appreciate that. But there still a few examples where the "official" title is just not that important. Even Eddie's handwritten setlists say "I Got Shit" instead of "I Got Id," "Small Town" rather than Elderly Woman....." and "Don't Go" instead of just "Go."
