I've been working through this series of movies, except for catching them in bits and pieces on TBS when I was a kid, I had never really watched them. So far I'm really enjoying it, I never realized how much political subtext they threw in there, not that you need to catch that to enjoy it, but it's a nice extra touch.
I'm going to be sad when I finish out the series.

I love the first one.
So far the first one has been completely bad ass, the 2nd one (Beneath the Planet of the Apes) was good, but not nearly as good as the first, and it's picked back up with Escape from the Planet of the Apes. Really solid storyline for movies like these, and the endings are always just completely balls out. I love it.
