I would love some more recommendations. I dislike a lot of Wu Tang and all of the folks involved. A lot of their cd's have similar styles and I guess I just dislike those. I love stuff like Low End Theory, Mecca and the Soul Brother, Jurrasic Five, KRS One, etc. I guess it's the jazzier, smoother rap (imo). Anything that is a bit less known perhaps? I know a lot of the main stuff everyone mentions (Nas, Pac, etc). I am trying to move beyond that.
Stuff I currently and previously enjoyed
Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass Aesop Rock - Labour Days Common - Resurrection CL Smooth and Rock - Mecca and the Soul Brother KRS One - KRS One Nujabes - Metaphorical Music Nujabes - Modal Soul Dalek - Abandoned Language A Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory Jurrasic Five - Quality Control Mos Def - Black on Both Sides Sole - Bottle of Humans Deltron 3030 Subtle - For Hero: For Fool Deep Puddle Dynamics-The Taste of Rain Outkast - ATliens Blu And Exile - Below The Heavens Blue Scholars - Bayani Blue Sky Black Death And Hell Razah - Razah's Ladder Del - Both Sides of the Brain Shape of Broad Minds - Craft of the Lost Art De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising De La Soul - The Grind Date Devin The Dude - Waiting to Exhale DJ Shadow - Endtroducing El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead Madvillain - Madvillainy MF Doom as King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader Omega One - Lo Fi Chronicles Prefuse 73 - One Word Extinguisher Oh No - Dr No's Oxperiment Pharoahe Monch - Desire Saul Williams - Amethyst RockStar Souls Of Mischief - '93 Till Infinity The Roots - Phrenology The Roots - Things Fall Apart alias - the other side of the looking glass RJD2- The Third Hand
I like a lot of stuff with some more meaningful lyrics, great flow, etc. Add some albums and some descriptions or something. Maybe we can get something going.

Get Company Flow - Funcrusher Plus
Tons and tons of quotable lyrics. The flows are pretty jagged/abstract and it takes a few spins but it's my favorite rap album evah - great, spacey production, totally unique and killer beats, and just amazingly aggressive rapping.
I also dig Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele GZA's Liquid Swords Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
AND
basically everything EastHastings named

get the new atmosphere cd
Am I the only one that thinks each album has gotten worse and worse? I love Overcast, in fact I would even call it one of my favorite rap albums. The next two records were pretty solid as well but I havent been interested in any of his stuff since? Is it just me and my losing interest in rap or has the music gotten worse?

Gravediggaz - 1-800 Suicide is fantastic. Forgot about that song.
Also, KRS One kills on MC's Act Like They Don't Know. That is one of my favourite songs.
I flip a script a little bit, you ride the tip and shit Too sick to get with it, admit you bit, your style is counterfeit Now tone it down a bit My title you will never get, I'm too intelligent
