Is this supposed to be serious? I've heard before that 10 wasn't grunge enough.
It's kind of a wannabe funny article.

Yeessss, PJ and Bon Jovi are on a list together!

Isaac Turner must be in a good mood.

an age is coming soon enough where Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam will be so close together in years separating their career that their current similar arena style tours will predominate the memory of PJ's early periods of relentless touring of clubs, then theater shows, and then the infrequent touring. and the two bands will be grouped together as the same kind of act.

trust me, history is putting these two bands in the same category (not necessarily the same musical genre), much to the chagrin of everyone around here who knows that the two bands are radically different entities...

Who cares?

It's some random website, everyone has their own opinion on things.

My comment didn't make it on there. Maybe it was because I called the, ahem, "article" immature and inaccurate. Or maybe it was because I put that I lived in Ballycunttitty.

it ain't a random website. it was printed in the most popular 'broadsheet' in the country. I nearly choked on me dinner when I read it.

Sludge eh? I don't see too many similarities between PJ and bands like Melvins and Acid Bath.

Or is sludge another word for horrible? This guy needs to think about the wording he uses.

The ex-disco hoofer was to angsty guitar rock what Kenny Everett's Sid Snot was to the Sex Pistols. Before Jagged Little Pill, no-one had captured the sheer hell of a crushing PMT headache while trapped in a confession box on a bad hair day. Hit track Ironic proved she had no idea of the word's meaning. ("A traffic jam when you're already late." Huh?).

Excuse: "Leave me alone, you ... you ... man!"

Guilt by association: Sinead O'Connor. Janis Joplin.

That's just bloody funny...

But seriously...the Irish as a whole have decent taste in music. This spanner does not represent us. Come back band! Play more Euro gigs!!

I dunno if we have decent taste in music and the live scene is pretty shit outside Dublin.

Muck...damage control. You're ruining our international reputa- forget it. Bertie's been a representative too long for any amount of outright lying to fix. We're screwed. That's right, World; we're incompetent bogmen that idolise Christy Moore and wouldn't know a ukelele from a hole in the ground. Excuse us as we weep shamefully into our potatoes...
