The Yankees may still be Pedro's daddy, but the Yankees still suck! :D

Good job Bosox. Now bring on the NL.

MLB, you really fucked it up with this rule.

such a good point. i cant see how anyone can be in favor of that rule.

I can't see how anyone can be in favor of a rule as arbitrary as the "alternating" home field advantage rule.

yea, im not in favor of that either. i think the team with the best record gets it. you should be rewarded for having such a great regular season. you are in football with a bye in the first round.

I want the Cardinals to win anyway, but even moreso to prevent an all-Wild Card World Series.

Not against teams from the other league.

And I still can't believe you live in Albany.

I don't see how anyone can be in favor of a rule that determines something as important as homefield advantage in the World Series by the winner of a game that the players aren't even playing 100%. The All-Star Game is a photo op and a contract clause to get a bonus, not a competitive game by any stretch. I've seen people try harder at a company picnic, and making home field advantage in the World Series at stake isn't going to make the players on the Royals and Brewers try any harder either.

I'm not a BoSox fan myself, but I rooted for them because they were playing the Yankees. Many other people on this board are this way, too.

If the Astros win, I'll go for my home squad in the series ;)

umm of course my team didnt win, i despise baseball, and think its the biggest pussy-sport out there. baseball is both dull and extremely boring to have to watch, and its even dull if you have to play it.

you have never once seen me say i like baseball, or that i like the yankees, or some other team, not once

I think it’s the best rule. You can't use best record b/c the teams don't compete against the same teams. If the Cardinals had to play the Yankees or Redsox 20 times this season they may not have won as many games. Alternating back and forth is just plain stupid. Do really think players aren't trying 100% when they're playing? I don't. What do you think Barry Bonds isn’t trying to hit HR's and the pitchers aren't trying equally as hard to strike him out? These guys have a ton of pride. Exhibition or not nobody wants to look bad.

Being a lifelong Mets fan, I was thrilled to see the Yanks choke big time. Congrats RedSox; hope you do well in the World Series.
