I think it's great that he's working with the band again. But after talking to a lot folks, it seems like I am in the minority. :|

I know. Brendan was HUGE on Merkin Ball. Didn't he play on "I Got Shit?" He was also a huge contributor to the great sounds of the earlier albums.

It's not just synergy. Here on this board, most are slamming O'Brien. I was also in a record store the other day and the dude behind the counter, a PJ fan I DEEPLY respect, is pissed about this. Says O'Brien is washed up and hasn't made a good record in a long time.

I pointed out Vs. and he said that was too long ago....whatever.
