I don't like that there is no longer a highlight or underline on an embedded link. If you don't move your cursor over the text, you can't even tell a link is there. I'm sure this can be tweaked.
quoting this because not-underlined links are the worst idea ever for a website, guys (2nd worst is breaking links by changing URLs without redirecting the old ones to the new ones)

For each thread it used to tell when the thread was started, and when the last post was. Now it only says last post. Any way we can get the other info back?
kthx

Can only a Mod include a poll in a new thread? Like with a vote button and accumulation of votes and everything? Because I just for the first time went into the Movie Of The Week thread and saw it had a poll, but then out of curiosity I hit the button to start a new thread once I was back out, and I didn't see anywhere on the screen for the ability to include a poll. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot I love about this board, but having a real poll is an option I've seen on other boards that I definitely wouldn't mind getting to have here as well (though not all message boards I've discovered allow IMG tags in posts, and so that's a big ole' plus here which I much appreciate).

Polls are something that used to be enabled for everyone a long time ago but quickly became abused with nonsensical and pointless poll threads, so it was enabled only for Mods. If you want to create a poll just ask a mod
By the way, this has nothing to do with the new design and site. The polling thing has been that way for a long time.

2 suggestions.
I think making threads with new posts "bold" while keeping others "normal" would be better than the current color code. It would be more immediate.
Maybe using a lighter color for the text would make the board easier to look at. The black/white only is a heavy contrast for the eyes. Alternatively using a different color for the User column would do the trick.

Buggy -- thank you for answering, and for what it's worth, as much as I know the poll feature can be utilized for something truly interesting at times, I can understand the Mod team here taking that approach, because believe me I've seen on other boards some of the most inane, idiotic poll threads started by braindead teenagers simply because they could. So basically, I can't really blame you at all for limiting it.

You will not be named Mod by complaining in this thread
