I heard Hillary Duff was given a script to check out for one of the characters. This could be disastrous...and a huge hit.
We're not evolving people

there's no way they can approach the greatness of the original so why even try?
I'll stick to the reruns thank you very much. Soapnet rules.

Sounds like a terrible idea. Why cant somebody come up with a realistic show about high school age kids? Not every kid is overpriveledged living in a mansion in one of the most expensive parts of California.

They did and no one watched (My So Called Life, Freaks and Geeks).

Freaks and Geeks wasnt that realistic to me. There was a show called Life As We Know It that was alot better. Friday Night Lights is a bit more realistic too.

And still, no one watches them.

I think Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows on television. It's actually GOOD tv, not just entertaining.
You can't really have a show about completely average teenagers. It would be mostly boring and irritating.
I actually do watch Gossip Girl, though. I'm embarrassed to admit it. I started watching it because Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are just so damn hot. Now i'm addicted like everyone else. It's basically a really over the top soap opera. This shit is not for kids, though. Drug abuse, group sex, decadence of all sorts done by high school kids.
I bet a lot of parents are letting their kids watch this show because it has the cutesy title "Gossip Girl". Kids should NOT be watching this.

Well they should just be on a channel that doesnt expect such high ratings. Its silly to have a high school drama on NBC, ABC, etc. during prime time.

FNL was really good the first season, I thought the last one was weak.
Oh Gossip Girl...I know I'm not supposed to like it, but I really do. A show that was so easy to get sucked into.

I'm so glad i'm not the only one. It sucked me in from the pilot.
We should really start a thread about the bad company that Little Jenny Humphries has been keeping.

Looks like she's straightening out after her gay boyfriend was outed and all her "friends" ditched her for lying about having sex with him. (How absurd is that sentence? I love it.)

She'll weasel her way back in just like she did after stealing the $15,000 dress. She's a crafty one, that Little Jenny Humphries.
