If this girl is telling the truth, then the way she is being treated by the state attorney is horrible, in fact they are not even following the law in Florida.
Florida law states that a 15-year-old cannot give consent to sex. And though Crystal was 15 at the time of the alleged forced encounter, the prosecutor wrote that the case would not be prosecuted because Crystal was "a mere 1 month away" from turning 16, when it would be "legal to give consent," according to documents.

She says he drugged her. If that was the case, it really doesn't matter how old she is. I would guess that there wasn't enough evidence of drugging to prosecute.
The age decision is unfortunate, but not absurd. My degree is from the USA Reruns School of Law, but the prosecutor was probably looking at dragging two families through an ugly trial for a likely not-guilty and decided against it.

I need their definition of "sexually assaulted" before i can say if that's a big number or not.

I imagine a large number of women are subject to at least one uninvited grab by age 25. I'm suprised the number isn't more like 9 in 10.

my thoughts exactly.
Yeah but what's the definition as was mentioned earlier? While I don't think an uninvited grab is a good thing, I'd hardly consider them "sexual assault victims" in the same way that someone who was raped is.

Yes, but if you exclude professional athletes (former and current) the number drops to One in Ten. If you exclude just O.J. Simpson it drops to One in Five.

This should be as close to a universal definition as is available.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wrote:
What is sexual assault? Sexual assault and abuse is any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to, including:
inappropriate touching vaginal, anal, or oral penetration sexual intercourse that you say no to rape attempted rape child molestation
Sexual assault can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention. Examples of this are voyeurism (when someone watches private sexual acts), exhibitionism (when someone exposes him/herself in public), incest (sexual contact between family members), and sexual harassment. It can happen in different situations, by a stranger in an isolated place, on a date, or in the home by someone you know.
Rape is a common form of sexual assault. It is committed in many situations — on a date, by a friend or an acquaintance, or when you think you are alone. Educate yourself on “date rape” drugs. They can be slipped into a drink when a victim is not looking. Never leave your drink unattended — no matter where you are. Try to always be aware of your surroundings. Date rape drugs make a person unable to resist assault and can cause memory loss so the victim doesn’t know what happened.
