Lokitorrent has been shut down by courts thanks to MPAA.

There are websites that provide legal downloads. This is not one of them.

This website has been permanently shut down by court order because it facilitates the illegal downloading of copyrighted motion pictures. The illegal downloading of motion pictures robs thousands of honest, hard-working people of their livelihood, and stifles creativity. Illegally downloading movies from sites such as these without proper authorization violates the law, is theft, and is not anonymous. Stealing movies leaves a trail. The only way not to get caught is to stop.

I wonder if Loki copped something with the MPAA in order for that bold statement to be put up on their site.

Just out of blatant curiosity, do rentals return anything to the original movie makers, or just the stores?

I think Hollywood has done a good enough job of this on it's own.

If they didn't have such a terrible track record of shitty movies, I wouldn't d/l it before I go see it in the theater.

Both. Kinda. Your rental money goes to the store..

But the store doesnt get to purchase the movie for the same price you get when you walk into Best Buy. They have to pay significantly more to purchase not only the DVD, but also the license to redistribute it and make money off of it.

Thats how it used to work at least.
