Saw it the other day and LOVED it. One of the funniest fucking movies ever.

But I have a question:
I noticed in the credits it said Flea was in the movie, who does he play??

He eats the acid off of Johnny's arm in the bathroom.

not me. Maybe if Ed Norton was in more movies it would be debatable but he isn't so it has got to be Depp

I decided yesterday that I'm going to see this film asap. It's Hunter, it has my two favourite actors of all time, why wouldn't I.

You should read the book, Jordan. It's a hundred times better than the movie.

No doubt that the book is better, it almost always is. Especially considering how classic this novel is. I would definitely suggest reading the book first before seeing the movie. I would think that most people would see the film as gibberish if they didn't read the book first

The book actually has some beautiful passages about the American Dream and the 60's that are left out of the movie. People sometimes forget that Thompson had a lot of meaning in his writing, even if it was buried under piles of weird and cool shit. The part that talks about the wave of optimism rolling back is particularly beautiful.
