This is an ongoing annoyance, I think. People brag and talk about drugs and alcohol all the time because it's a big part of their lives. Other people don't like it and comment, and then the first group is annoyed by that again. And so on...

I have mixed feelings here. On one side I'm all for freedom and have people try and use whatever they want to, on the other side I'm worried about their health, both fysically and mentally. Then there are some other influences, like my allergy for cigarette smoke, two dear people who died from horrible lung diseases, and the way people behave when they are influenced. I just don't like that, no matter if it's wild or relaxed, it's the loss of grip I absolutely hate: no longer being able to speak properly, being rude, or being hungover the next day(s). Also, the addiction bothers me. Some people disregard everything else in life just to get their fix.
So, in a poll, I'd vote 'I hate drugs in any form'.

one thing to note is that all drugs are different. marijuana is actually much less dangerous that alcohol or cigarettes.

i understand where you're coming from, but there is absolutely no physical addiction to marijuana at all. i'm pretty sure this also applies for shrooms and LSD. there are very minimal health consequences from these three as well, unless you smoke A LOT of pot.

now as for alcohol...you make some valid points about being rude when you're drunk...and the fact that you're hungover and all of that. for the little joy that alcohol brings there are plenty of drawbacks. you can ruin your relationships with people plus the health effects that may not effect you now but will come back to haunt you later.
i dont really drink any more and i quit smoking cigs...but i smoke pot still and i still want to try mushrooms but no one ever seems to have any. and yes, i am responsible when i use mind altering substances...when i dropped acid i stayed in my room almost the whole time

I know a few people that are addicted to mary jane. They don't care, and they lead great lives....but still, no way are they giving it up.

Responsible use of shit is okay in my book, but I don't go beyond the realm of natural shit. I won't fuck with most synthetic drugs (except acid and zolpidem).

I'm about to crack open my first Bud can. Too bad i'm out of weed although i am contemplating scraping some resin from my bong and bowls. I don't even care much about getting high anymore but it does make my beer buzz much better and i just like to smoke in general. Good thing there's no crack around!

I see nothing wrong with recreational use, as long as you're safe with it, know your limits, and don't hurt anyone else. I've smoked pot before and I'm planning on doing shrooms this summer, and I see nothing wrong with that. If I were to drive after doing either of those or do them and have it interfere with my job...yeah, then you have a problem.
