I have a friend coming into town for the MSG shows in June who’s never been to New York and would love to take in the Yankee Stadium tour while he’s here. Unfortunately, I’ve been trying for the past month to get tickets for 6/24 or 6/25 without any luck (either through Ticketmaster or the secondary market). I’m assuming other folks who will be in town for the shows have been trying for tickets as well, finding that they’ve been sold out for some time. With this being the last season before they tear the stadium down and probably the only time some of you folks are going to be in NY, I thought about trying to put a group tour together.

I’ve already contacted the Group Sales office and have received a reply that they should be able to accommodate a group on one of those days… I’m leaning towards the Wednesday though (6/25). If anyone would be interested in touring Yankee Stadium as part of a group, please respond with the following:

(a) name
(b) e-mail address
(c) total number in your party
(d) preference for early morning (probably 9AM or 10AM) or mid-afternoon (probably 2PM or 3PM)

If there’s enough of an interest, I’ll move forward with this and get it booked. Any questions or concerns, feel free to post here and I’ll respond as soon as possible.

ya, they dont normally do stadium tours on game day..... :poke:

the question behind the question is if im going to that game is it worth taking the tour as well

Four days after I posted this originally, I received another e-mail from the Sales Office rescinding their availability. The thread seemed to have died so I never bothered posting that fact. My apologies to anyone genuinely interested.

Dave - Still looking for tickets through other means so I'll keep you in mind should I score any. Tickets run $20 (would have been $15 in a group).

yea, we were trying to score a group tour for my family this summer but it seems they sell out real quick. i was surprised.

UPDATE 5/28...

Received a call this morning about a cancellation and they have space for a group on 6/24 at 9:00AM. Know it's early, but with the limited availability, I'm not going to be picky.

I told them I'd give them a final number tomorrow, SO... anyone interested?
