man i need to cut back on my drinking. i just called my brother and wished him happy birthday. i did this knowing that our family is getting together tomorrow for brunch *for* his birthday AND also knowing that his birthday is may 25. i was certain that today was may 25 and that we were getting together tomorrow for a 'day after' event because he was busy today...the first thing he said to me was 'do you know what day today is' and i said 'may 25?'

fail.

You were only two days off. If you had done this on April 23, then you'd need to cut back.

I dunno. It slipped my mind and everyone else's mind until my Mom called me at about 4:30pm EST to wish me a Happy Birthday. I'll just say, it was one of the strangest things to ever happen to me. It was unsettling.

i know a lot of people who fail at drinking. obviously anyone who shits themselves is in that category, but so are the people who puke in my place, or have no control whatsoever and will justify everything with 'i was drunk' as if that makes it ok.... people who drink really gay alcohol and act hard about drinking.... maybe im just an elitist because im such a drunk, but id say a good number of folks who drink fail. or at least fail to do it as well as me.
