The jury, resided by Sean Penn, made some really audacious choices : Palme d'or : Entre les murs [In Beetween Walls] by Laurent Cantet (Fr) Best Female acting performance : Sandra Corveloni in Linha de Passe Best Male acting Performance : Benicio Del Toro (us) in Che Guevara directed by Soderbergh Jury special prize for Catherine Deneuve (Fr) Director's prize : Nuri Bilge Ceylan (tk) for the 3 monkeys Jury Prize : Il Divo of Paolo Sorrentino (It) Screenplay prize : Dardennes' Bros (Be) for le silence de Lorna
The result is surprizing for the Palme D'or cause Waltz with Bashir was a strong favorite

Yes that's what I tought at first when seeing the ceremony but Clint didn't show up so i thought i have misheard something (and i read a blog where there wasn't any mention of Clint). It's only this afternoon that i realize my first impression was good.
I also heard that Clint and Deneuve were very deceived by this award so they didn't go to the after-ceremony lunch but have one on their own in a nearby restaurant
