really like the opening riff, really attractive tone to me. Song is mostly good save the "I'm a dinosaur chorus".

Oh and does fripp know how he looks sitting back there.

Dinosaur kicks ass. That riff in the beginning is really original. I've seen Belew do it twice, and its insane how he gets those T-Rex shreiks out of his equipment. If you ever have the chance to see the Adrian Belew power trio, do it. They're awesome.

Other highlights for me are "Burned By The Fire We Make," "Ampersand," "Writing On The Wall," "Men In Helicopters," and "Drive." That dude's something else.

i'm glad to know people here like this song. i'd put Thrak right up there with their mighty 3 albums with Wetton. i haven't listened to anything from them post Thrak except for that Lark's Tongues in Aspic part 3 or 4...i thought this was lame when i heard it, which happened once.
i read that the 3/4s of KC are coming to Quebec City for the summer festival - and that means that Fripp won't be a part of the line-up
what's cool about this festival, when it's a good year, is that you buy your offical badge for 20 or 30 bucks (depending on when you buy it) and you're allowed to almost every show of the festival (which lasts 10 days).

back to KC, are you guys familiar with their more recent live shows/albums?

I haven't heard all of their new stuff, but The ConstruKction of Light has some decent songs, and I've especially liked the songs I've heard from The Power To Believe. That one is on my list of albums to get sometime soon. Their latest one got some decent reviews, too.

If you like good ole' King Crimson jamming, The ProjeKcts might be worth checking out, too. I bought the four-CD box set, and while you can't exactly rock out to it (it's all instrumental, too), it has some gems, and each ProjeKct really has its own style, which is kinda cool.

As far as live shows... I saw them back in '01 and enjoyed it quite well. I haven't heard any of the actual live albums, but there are alot to choose from. ;)

My drummer loves King Crimson and he mentioned they'll be playing New York sometime this year I think. I might be mistaken, but living near DC, he told me its the closest they're playing to us on the east coast. Fripp would be part of that lineup. Robert Fripp is the heart of King Crimson.

There was a recent interview with Adrian Belew in Guitar Player where he talked about getting the band back together. Some interesting things that I didn't know about as I'm not a huge fan, but I do recall something about them having different percussionists this time around. Fripp, Levin, Belew, and a couple other people.
