quite possibly my favorite piece of instrumental music ever. Mindblowing. I remember when I was home on spring break, this was in my car, and I listened to this song on the way to Wal-Mart or something and I was just like "Holy shit. Holy mother fucking shit." It was a revelation, on that day, for whatever reason. Just incredible.

I was never really taken by Eno's solo work for some reason. Love his productions w/ Bowie, Byrne, and the Talking Heads though. I forget who else he's been with.

I too absolutely love this song. It's amazing. Have you heard Ending (An Ascent)? It's also ridiculously beautiful in a very different way.

Is that on one of his Ambient works? I have a couple of those downloaded but haven't listened. I should do something about that.

I feel the same way about "On Some Faraway Beach" off of Warm Jets.

I'm almost 100% sure that I've ranted specifically about this song in the past. Probably like 3 years ago or something.

Agreed, it is one of the absolute best instrumental pieces ever written.

"On Some Faraway Beach" has vox. But yeah, that's another of my favorite Eno songs.

yeah that song is gorgeous. the vocals really add to it too, the way they sway with the music and the lyrics are kinda sad. my fav instrumental is Becalmed tho.

Uh, don't think so. I know it wasn't on that electronic mix from last year, and I'm nearly sure it wasn't on the one from the mixtapes project a couple years back. I've had Another Green World for a long time now, too.

Speaking of electronic, is there any really good shit from this year that I ought to know about? I've got Why Can't We Be Like Us by Bruno Pronsato and that's pretty fantastic.
