I love the fact that this thread was just above "Hey ladies, what do balls taste like?" when I clicked on View Active Topics.

Let me just say now that I have never personally known of a healthy relationship between a white man and a woman of colour. I have known a black woman whose white husband would strangle and bash her while her young children watched. My white grandfather liked black women because they were ‘exotic’, and he did not, could not treat women, especially women of colour, like human beings. I grew up watching my great aunts, my aunty and my mother all treated like shit by their white husbands, the men they loved. So you will forgive me for believing that the character, Wash, is a rapist and an abuser, particularly considering that he treats Zoe like an object and possession.

lol. whut the fuck?

The pop culture analysis is actually kind of entertaining. I haven't seen any of Joss Whedon's shows, but I'm sure that he was probably amused by this rant. I don't consider it "too much feminism;" however, allecto has also written on many other topics:

Gardasil: Women Hurt by Medicine
May 8, 2008

Gertrude Green and Renate Klein, two Aussie dyke feminists have set up a blog for women who have been hurt by male supremacist medicine, specifically the ‘cervical cancer vaccine’ which has been pushed into all Australian schools, affecting thousands of young girls who are misled into believing that the drug protects them against cervical cancer. My sister, who was 17 at the time, was scared into getting the vaccine, despite my mother’s reservations (my mother, the intuitive knowledgable woman that she is, has a deep distrust of patriarchal medicine and always has).

I think that I consider a rejection of male supremacist medicine too much feminism.

Josh Whedon is the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It goes down as one of the greatest tv shows of all time. Good looking lead girl in tight clothing who kicks ass and lipstick lesbians and the occassional good song. As I said one of the greatest shows of all time. Sure beats Friends, even the episode with Yellow Ledbetter.

I'm so clueless. I've never seen any of these shows.

Practically the only thing I watch on TV is American football. I'm boring.

We love you anyways.

Besides, alcohol has been making boring tolerable since the dawn of fermented sugar.

Like you've personally known of a healthy relationship between a man and a woman?
