I have been driving by an apartment complex in uptown area dallas that has a replica of this statue on it.

it was made by an artist from the futurist movement.

while this sculpture is a representation of motion and time, what i find funny about it is that this complex has unwittingly placed a fascist emblem in front of their building.

the irony of all this is most of the futurist artists, while very talented, where largely war mongering, and ironically went off to war and where killed.

If you have to think that hard to see it as fascist, it doesn't count. Just like how you can have a statue of a woman with an exposed breast representing justice on public display for years, and all of a sudden some loser dude will suddenly notice that the statue has something to do with justice.

Second, I have no problem with it. The futurists were artists first, fascists second (if that), and as you posted they later left the ideology. It's not like it's a swastika, and I find it to be a really amazing piece of art. Kind of sucks it's in front of an apartment complex though.
