Just wondering if anyone else has problems when in the car driving through trees on bright sunny days? The flickering makes me... tense up really quickly and I feel like I'm going to pass out. I can't really explain it. It's almost like all my body goes completely stiff to the point that it hurts but it's over with very quickly and then forgotten. My dad is an epileptic but I've been told it's not hereditary. It's never really caused enough of a problem for me to do anything about it and the couple of times I've mentioned it to a doctor, they don't seem too worried about it. Just wondering if it's quite common or if I should go back and see a doc? And also, how do you get diagnosed with epilepsy?

It never happens anywhere else though. Just when I'm in the bright sun.

id go to another doc for a second opinion since it happens when you're driving that could be dangerous for you or someone else...

Yes. Definitely bypass your regular doctor and make an appointment with a specialist. It could be excessive, but since this is something that happens when you DRIVE, it can' hurt to be too careful. Since it seems pretty mild most of the time, you may be able to do something behavior wise to avoid it.


PS: That I'm not a doctor but. . . line is great. Can't wait to steal it.

I don't drive so that's not an issue... If it's anything at all, maybe it's a panic attack since I'm always very aware of it when I get into the car on sunny days.
