we have one in here about war, but i'm talking in general. include war quotes if you'd like, though.

The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival.

With that unassailable piece of logic in place I have finished way more schooling than I ever thought possible.

"It's not the work you do, it's the work you get credit for."

This has lead to me making more money than I ever thought I would.

"I love that quote, it easily identifies the idiots. Dissent is NOT the highest form of patriotism, informed dissent is. Dissent for the sake of dissent is simply idiotic, going further to refer to it as the "highest form of patriotism" proves you for the idiot you are."

"Despite the vision and farseeing wisdom of our wartime heads of state, the physicists have felt the peculiarly intimate responsibility for suggesting, for supporting, and in the end, in large measure, for achieving the realization of atomic weapons. Nor can we forget that these weapons as they were in fact used dramatized so mercilessly the inhumanity and evil of modern war. In some sort of crude sense which no vulgarity, no humor, no overstatement can quite extinguish, the physicists have known sin; and this is a knowledge which they cannot lose."-Robert Oppenheimer

Reason does not work instinctively, but requires trial, practice, and instruction in order to gradually progress from one level of insight to another.

i dont think he is. how could i make myself understood... :D i think what it means is that u either have to decide to not do something or to do something. and not decide to TRY and do something. u know?

if you fail u fail and thats that. but at least uve decided to go for it.

EDIT: kinda like if u figure ur gonna try and do somethin it almost means u feel like u cant do it..

I actually LOVE this quote. I say it to myself all the time. Whenever I'm about to do something out of my comfort zone, or when I catch myself doing something halfway. Usually when I'm playing sports. But it inspires me.
