So I got a new phone, and it require one of those little memory cards. Eventually I figured out how to put it in, but then it said "A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."
First - having put nothing on the card, why would it say that?
second - how do i correct the errors using a disk error-checking utility? What the hell is that?
third - do i have to buy a disk error-checking utility? and if not, how does it go into my computer?

Since it's been a couple of days and no-one's offered you any help, i thought i'd try.
One - Don't know but maybe it was un-formatted and the phone needed it formatted.
Two - Don't know for sure but if you've got a card reader on your pc i'd put the card in that then right click and check the drive for errors. I believe, if you're using windows, you can also correct errors with this function.
Three - a, hope not. b, if you don't have a card reader built in or attatched via usb, does your phone come with a usb cable that you can use so your pc recognises it as a mass storage device? you could propbably still do the 'right click, check disk for errors' from there.
Sorry, i'm no expert i just thought i'd offer up a couple of ideas.
