I went to pick up my 10 Club tickets tonight at Camden around 8:30-8:45, only to find that someone else had already picked them up. My name had been highlighted on the list, signifying that someone had picked them up. There wasn't anyone else on the list with the same name, but there may have been somebody with the same last name.
The ticket lady argued with me, saying they don't give out tickets without a valid photo ID, so either I or someone who looked like me and had an id with my name on it must have picked them up. The address on my license didn't match the one on the list because I had moved recently, but I told her the address that she had on the list. She still wouldn't budge.
I kept arguing, saying that I had just gotten there and they must have given them to the wrong person. Then they showed me the envelope with a signature that they claimed was mine and matched the one on my driver's license. It looked nothing like my signature, though they insisted it did. I tired to keep my calm, telling them I knew they were just doing their jobs, but someone had made a mistake and I wasn't going anywhere without my tickets. They talked amongst themselves and eventually gave me tickets that were probably better than I would have had otherwise. By the time we finally got to our seats, we had missed the first three songs
Not many of my friends knew I was going tonight, so it's not likely that someone was trying to play a joke on me. I plan on checking my credit report, but I doubt someone would gone through all that trouble for a couple of tickets. My guess is that someone behind the scenes figured they could get away with stealing my tickets. Not sure what else could have happened.

wow...been reading at least 3 threads at the Pit about these kind of problems. That's fucked up and yet it doesn't seem like 10C is doing anything about it.

From what I gathered thru the threads, the 10C tickets are given out by venue staffs in an unsealed envelope.

Not even chinatown. Do you need a real license to pick them up? If you could use a photo school id or a work ID or anything like that you could easily print one on your computer, laminate it, and use it to collect tickets.

Wow, I guess I'm not the only one. But now I realize I probably won the lottery and had great seats before they were stolen from me. I'm definitely emailing 10 Club, though I'm not sure what they will do about it.

I don't think the fake ID scenario is possible. They'd have to know ahead of time that I was going to the show, was a member of 10 Club, and had 10 Club seats. Not likely.

Any chance someone saw your name on the list (perhaps while a buddy picked up his/her 10c seats) and went back through the line, somehow getting them without the proper ID?

I'm not saying it's happened to you. But let's just put out a hypothetical. People on boards like this advertise that they got ten club tickets to a certain show. If you can figure out that persons full name you have the tickets.

Tickets / Seats: I have a 16xxxx 10c number...
First night: I was around people with 15xxxx and 17xxxx, a few 19xxxx were in the row behind me. Sec 104, about 13th row and close to center aisle.
Second night: I was surrounded by people with 21xxxx, 22xxxx, 25xxxx, and even someone with a 29xxxx number. Something did not seem right at all. Also, people with "print-at-home" paper tickets and non-10c tickets (green TM tickets instead of the red LiveNation tickets the 10c was distributing) had better seat locations than I did in Sec 102 (rows 5-15). I was Sec 101, about 25th row, at aisle.

- Second night had a lot of "fake ticket" issues. People were getting into the venue with legit lawn tickets then altering print-at-home tickets with excellent seat locations in the 100's section. "Security" and "Staff" actually removed a few people from their seats and took them away (during the show) for 10-15 minutes to sort out the mess. Totally felt bad for the people who had the legit seats - they missed a good portion of the show.



Also worth noting that my first night tix say K-FCLB under admission, but second night tix say K-SETT under admission. I'm not sure of this was the same for everyone or not, but I feel slighted. The seats were still good seats, don't get me wrong, but how was I not sitting with people with similar 10c #'s? Friends of mine who were at both nights all had better seats for night 2, 5-7 rows better for most of them. They all have 14xxxx and 17xxxx numbers.

In Columbia, I saw the same thing happen to a guy and his young daughter. They were standing next to the ticket window, with stunned looks on their faces. I don't know if they ever got tickets.

O trust me it's possible. They need to start mailing the fucking tickets out like normal fucking people and trusting that people wont scalp. You could get to the show at 3 pick your tickets up and scalp anyway so whats the big deal. If they don't I may very well start claiming other peoples tickets. Just kidding

The easy solution is to do what PJ did in previous tours, and that was to have some sort of confirmation number that they send you, and you'd have to provide that in addition to ID.
Simple and effective. If you guys can't bother with bringing the number along, you are just shit out of luck.

Like I said, there's about 3 or 4 threads about similar fuckups like this. Yet I haven't seen 10C address the problem so far. Maybe they did privately but I'm still worried b/c I'll be going with three people's extras for Hartford and Mansfield's.

Hopefully, no malice incidents for us.

I'd strongly, strongly recommened you (and anyone else with issues) email 10c with your stories. Clearly something is up, and the more information they have to help sort shit out is only going to benefit everyone involved.

Just don't be like the douchebag on the Pit who expects immediate resolution- it might take a bit since, you know, they're in the middle of a tour.

Also, if anyone reading these stories sees a band member before or after an upcoming show, you should let them know, too. I'd bet they wouldn't be privy to this information otherwise. If they heard about it, maybe they'd look into things, too?

Kat responded in one thread acknowledging the problem, but essentially said they don't know what's up right now and don't have answers yet, otherwise she'd have said what happened.

I'm nervous as shit now. We're going up for the last 3 shows with 10C tickets and now all I'm going to be worried about is whether or not some asshole has already made off with my tickets. Super.

My personal suggestion - get there as early as possible and pick up your tix ASAP. Treat it like the 2000 tour and play it like it's a total lottery/luck of the draw system. Then it can help alleviate some of these risky BS scenarios that so many of us seem to be experiencing.

Again, I don't want to sound like a whinny bastard - I had good seats, but it's just really fishy that I wasn't even close to anyone with a similar 10c number.

a simple solution to this problem would be for the 10club to just mail us are fucking tickets when we place are orders....

but that probably makes too much fucking sense....and god forbid the 10club have to pay $0.40 for a fucking stamp and an envelope....

With all the shit going on with these tickets I have a feeling that the MSG shows are going to be a trainwreck.
