from wikipedia:

Quote:
It is set in the Pacific theater and Eastern front of World War II

Swimming elements will be introduced to the series for the first time in single player and multiplayer. While in water, the player can not sprint and will only move at half speed

World at War will feature cooperative gameplay (two players via split-screen or four players online) for the first time in the franchise. Vehicles, first introduced in Call of Duty: United Offensive, will return as well as new squad-based elements within multiplayer.

The game will be powered by an enhanced version of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine - improvements have been made to the physics engine and lighting model. Environments are now more destructible and can be set on fire with the flamethrower (which features propagating fire). Bullets can also cut holes in thin wood, making a gap big enough for the player to climb through

best of all, it's supposed to be released some time this year

I wasn't really feeling the modern warfare thing for some reason. This is good news.

this isn't made by the real COD studio (Infinity Ward), but rather Treyarch who did COD3 and some lame ps2 incarnations. I'm sure it will be a decent game, but it won't be a pinnacle of the series

I saw the true face of embarassment tonight. After spending 5 minutes outflanking some fuckhead sniper, I took him to task with a sweet kill. I ran up to teabag him in celebration, got one crouch over him, and was killed by his martyrdom grenade. I can picture that asshole sitting on his couch, laughing his ass off at me while watching the killcam.

It's what I deserve. No more teabagging for me. I now pop heads and move on to the next poor motherfucker.
