I'm kinda surprised not too many people seem to be into EBM, or whatever else you want to call bands like VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerker, Nitzer Ebb, and the like. I really even sounds futuristic and forward-looking. I've heard bad things about VNV's newer stuff. But their older stuff which I've heard is mind blowing. I think it was one of the guys from VNV who coined the term "future pop" too, and described it as intelligent dance music with meaningful forward-looking lyrics or something. Kinda funny how I ended up getting into them. There's this shortwave radio show called Odin Lives that plays a bunch of new age, and not so new age Scandinavian folk music, and preaches a Odinist ideology when not playing music. But the guy who hosts that show never failed to play at least one VNV song every show, usually something from Praise The Fallen.

IDM, eh?

I've been a bit curious about it too. The Orb, Aphex Twin, Eluvium and Ulrich Schnauss are all fine people indeed!

Haha, ya, nice one man.

I don't consider Four Tet IDM. I would call them indie electronic or electronic pop with IDM moments.
