Really want to see this:

Quote:
During the final days of communism in Romania, two college roommates Otilia (Anamaria Marinca) and Gabita (Laura Vasiliu) are busy preparing for a night away. But rather than planning for a holiday, they are making arrangements for Gabita’s illegal abortion and unwittingly, both find themselves burrowing deep down a rabbit hole of unexpected revelations. Transpiring over the course of a single day, Mungiu’s film is a masterwork of modern filmmaking, by parts poignant and shocking. Nominated for 4 European Film Awards including Best Picture and one of the standout hits of the Telluride, Toronto and New York Film Festivals, 4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS is a modern classic that will stay with you long after you’ve left the theater.

be prepared for protracted cinematic depression/anxiety. the tension in this movie was to the point where i considered walking out, but ultimately didn't. very affecting. i don't want to get into spoilers, but check it out

nice, i've only been there a few times. there is a great restraunt that makes these crepes/spanish omlettes that are killer. any idea what i'm talking about? oh yeah, see this movie! i thought the lack of a soundtrack really amplified the movie's impact, so spare and bleak

yeah, but considering the content, I don't think much music would work.
No idea what you are talking about. It's in the neighborhood I take it? I've been vegan too long to know most restaurants.
are you living in the city now?

definately on the shows (i'm seeing malkmus, justice and spoon so far this spring). i went to a little theatre in highland park, landmark renaissance. i think i'm seeing the counterfeiters tomorrow and then The Band's Visit comes out Friday, which i really can't wait to see. I have a ton of time on my hands right now because I'm on spring break, which is :nice: by me.

Watched it over the weekend. It is as bleak and somber as advertised. I liked it okay; thought it was well done and a good small indie flick. But I must of missed what made it a critical darling.

This is tied with Diving Bell and No Country as the best from '07. Amazing stuff. This is one of those movies that's "about" one thing but ends up covering about a hundred different subjects. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

A well done movie, but it was depressing. And not in a good way.
