 Post subject: Any idea on a free program that converts cd tracks to mp3?

Looking to burn a cd to my computer in mp3 form with the track listing so that I can pu them on my mp3 player. Is there a shareware program that I can use?

You can use CDex:

http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

to convert to mp3s and then whatever you are using to burn CDs.

CDex is freeware.

I use EAC with the latest LAME codec set to alt preset standard.

probably easiest to use whatever came with your mp3 player...

if its an ipod,get itunes and use AAC instead of MP3. if it's something that plays windows media or ogg, use those instead of MP3.

first off you don't want shareware. I personally llike the tool that Ender posted above, CDex is really simple to use and does a good job. And you gotta love the price

Yes, the LAME mp3 codec is probably one of the best there is (if not the best). CDex is using it too.
