I started thinking about this....I am living a sheltered leftie life. For the most part, I'm extremely happy about it, but occasionally, I'd like to know what kind of tricks the opposition is up to. What sites would be particularly good places to keep an ear to the ground with respect to what's going on in right-wing propaganda? Any suggestions?

Do you want tricks and lies and propaganda, or are you interested in legitimate news with a somewhat conservative flavor? I'm sure people here could recommend either type.

It's impossible to find unbias news. It's just a matter of degrees.

as far as think-tank type places, i prefer the cato institute and the american enterprise institute. PERC is good, too. very outside-the-box.

i really like "the economist" magazine.

i don't know that i would call them "propaganda," but they definitely scratch this conservative right where he itches.

Isn't "conservative news" (or for that matter, "liberal news") an oxymoron?

Also, I'd consider the Cato Institute libertarian.

Only his articles are what I would consider conservatively biased, he links to many legitimate and interesting news sources.

I usually read The Weekly Standard or the National Review for my dose of 'the dark side', as well as The Public Interest for more intellectually based articles on the neoconservative philosophy. While I disagree with most of what they say, I do see the occasional good point amongst all the nonsense, and it is valuable for getting the full spectrum of ideas. Plus, I view those publications in a better light than Fox News or Drudge or Rush or one of those clowns.

I like the NRO site (National Review Online). Good times, especially when the Kerry Spot was up and running. It's funny you mention the right-wing/conservative propaganda jazz...I feel the same way about most things the left-wing/liberals report about...or lack to report for that matter.
