Trying to find a way to catagorize all this music in one place...without paying anything...is a bit of a pain. It's especially difficult to find a site that will let you store, and link to, songs. So I'm trying this out.

http://scab.007sites.com/index.html

It's got the last three records, which have all been up here at some point, as well as some outtakes that have never been up anywhere. It'll also have the next record when that's done.

Not everything is up yet, and in the case of the 52nd Street collage it probably never will. That one was mostly for friends and members, which is why we nicked a cover rather than creating something like with the others. But all the rest of it will be up soon.

If anybody has any recommendations on finding a place to keep such a volume of songs up, linkable, and downloadable, let me know.

I did put up a few tracks left off of Scab and What's Easy yesterday.

Yeah, that. Not that I have anything I'm willing to post, yet, but my ISP is 20 MB and nowhere radio gives me 15MB. Not nearly enough to keep stuff up for any length of time. Soundclick will let you upload a shit-ton, but you can't link. I should be ripping to MP3 at a lower bit rate, I guess.

Anyway, this is good stuff, McP. Little Hands, Ashes, Up To Here and Buy The Boat got me during the first listen.

Yeah, I've looked at Soundclick, but I much prefer to link. Geocities would be just fine, if it would stay up consistently.

Thanks! I'm very glad to know you noodled around in there.

Those are all outtakes, obviously, so they probably don't hold up to the stuff on the records, but I thought those and All Children were good enough to have available. Plus, Ashes got a pretty good response when I posted it here before, so obviously I don't always know what the best songs from a project are.

I do believe that Michael Doyle would be better than any of them, but I'd have to finish it. I'm not sure I want to take the time to do that, seeing as how today I added the 30th demo to the stockpile for the new record. I think I'm better off moving forward. If I happen to slap a bass and vocal down after wrapping a session, I'll put that one up there.

Getting all of your stuff now. I'll probably put it on the ol' mp3 player for a first listen later. I've only got monitor speakers on this here internetz computer.

I honestly couldn't tell you a thing about it. I know that the guy who played it...I wanna say it's the bass on We'll Survive and Bombs Fall?...didn't take great care with it. I mean, the day that picture was taken, he wasn't even there. He would just leave it in that dank basement for a week at a time, showing up the day before a session to restring.

That green guitar though...

I always wanted to put that in a song. What a piece of shit.

Also: it's Friday morning, and I just created a Mediafire account. By the end of the day, I'll have the song download links all transfered, which means there should be no more trouble with listening or downloading.

Yeah, I've got everything from What's Easy and Scab up on Mediafire, now, so those songs should all be easily accessed. :D

You have a good excuse. I was looking at the dates on those records:

52nd Street Rebellion: May, 2007
What's Easy About Bad Fiction: July, 2007
Scab, Volume I: May, 2008

Three in a year...not counting all the demos and newer tracks I've dumped into this forum the last 3 months....not even I want to hear THAT much of me.

Actually, the photographer I work with on album art stuff and I brainstormed a bunch of ideas...including a picture of a scab. As it turned out, this close up of some pottery thing she was working on turned out way more...visually alarming. And I thought the color scheme fit the music better, too.
