...I'm stuck at work. I'm totally pissed because who knows if I'll ever get to see EV solo again especially in such a small venue. Worst part is that my 10C tickets are not even going to be used.

Unfortunately, there is no "sick" where I work. I was in the middle of a transaction and just couldn't leave. The tickets are getting expensed but I would have MUCH rather seen the show.
