Screw that other thread. I don't abide by its title name.
As a fellow raider fan (who lives in Wisconsin) that's been lying dormant the last few years, I feel very confident of an 8-8 season. I will be ecstatic if the team goes 8-8. John Clayton had some good things to say about the Raiders, basically saying they're going to be sick this year. I hope he is right.

On one side of the field you have Nnamdi Asomugha On the other side of the field you have DeAngelo Hall And then you have Michael Huff in the back field.

With this kind of running game we don't need a superior pass offense.
73 yards on 17 carries? In preseason? I don't understand the big deal.
Minnesota barely got to 8-8 last year in a weaker conference, and McFadden's rookie year isn't going to be as impressive as Peterson's was, and they had no passing game to speak of either.
5-11. Book it. DeAngelo Hall is the most overrated corner in football. For reference:

I'm with you on the thread title, but I think 8-8 is being overly optimistic. The running game looks good, but it was pretty good last season. Jemarcus hasn't proven anything and I'm not too confident he will. Plus they always seem to have legit corners and safeties, but the they always seem to get burnt on big plays down field. Don't get me wrong, I hope Clayton is right, too. Even with one of the supposed easiest schedules in the nfl, I don't have my hopes too high.
