I believe B_I noted this in his consumption thread in regards to South West airlines.
Maybe we need a 'disaster' thread, as these sorts of things are depressingly common.
In regards to caring about Spain - are you Portugese speakers still holding a grudge about getting a raw deal in the New World real estate game?
Are you refering to the Tordesilhas treat?

calm down my lovers, i was wondering why there wasnt a thread about this. i appreciate Spain
on a somewhat tangent. Spain is a wonderful country with alot more culturally to offer than franco, the spanish inquisition, and the fuck-over-ization of the entire south american continent.
they have great (albeit an acquired taste) food, tremendous contributions to art and architecture, good wine. the most important thing, is people in spain have a great philosophy on life. what we see as "laziness" is actually an attempt at reclaiming sanity, they actually leave the house at night and socialize with the rest of the community, after sleeping half of the day. everyone has a job, of some sort. the attitude is, if you dont work, well your fucked, if you do something, your fine. and the result? lower poverty rate, and less fucked up people than the U.S.
whatever thats my rant.

I like the Portuguese people MUCH better than the Spaniards from my experience in both countries! (I have at least a quarter Spanish blood, a great-grandad on each side, so not biased).. to the point it's the only other country I remotely think I 'might' like to live in (probably when I retire though..if I ever can afford to)
but this accident sucks whoever is involved
