Let me be the first to ask for advice.

I have the 2nd pick in a 2 keeper, 10 team league. Pretty much standard scoring system. The person picking #1 is definitely going to take a RB. I am not positive who is being saved (not due till next week) but I know there will be some good RB's out there.

I am keeping Marion Barber and have to choose between Colston and Willie Parker for my 2nd. I don't think either will be taken with the first pick so I am trying to decide who will have the better season. I am leaning towards Colston and then going after the best player available at #2 which will likely be Edwards, Lynch, Grant or Portis. Someone along those lines.

Keep Colston! Parker is already on the decline, I wouldn't be surprised to see Mendenhall leapfrog him at some point during this season as the #1 guy in Pitt. As far as the 2nd pick goes I assume Edwards is Braylon so I'd either go with him or Marshawn, with the slight edge to Marshawn just because RB's are generally more valuable in FF. I don't think you could really go wrong with either at this point in a keeper league though. One question though, is this a PPR league? If so, Braylon might be your man.

I'm used to, I'm coming off of the whole "RB's first" line of thinking. Yeah, if the RB there is the best available player and is not splitting time I will take him. It's just about weighing the RB vs the other available players vs the quality of players left at the positions.

this is usually my plan. it may change this year b/c in one of my leagues we're doing the "flex player" thing so i might take 3 rbs in the first 3 rounds

it depends on whether the Vikings will throw to Adrian Peterson at all.

Of the two I'd keep Coleston, though I worry a bit how Shockey will be used... I know they are throwing the ball a ton and Coleston is by far the best option on the team and they play in the NFC south, which means they get Atlanta's horrific secondary twice a year. Coleston is a good keeper... he might just lose several TD's to Shockey.

I decided to try FF for the first time. I was late for the live draft so I was on "auto-draft" for half of the draft.
I was first to pick and the computer drafted LT and Larry Johnson for me as my tailbacks.

I got Big Ben at QB, TJ, Witten and Wayne receiving.

What you guys think?

You will probably never see a better auto-draft than that in your life. Those things usually suck, although its not as bad if you only have 8 or 10 people in your league.. Depending on where it drafted Larry for you I probably would have gone with a different back, but you can't really ask the CPU to do any better. Considering somebody drafted Mendenhall in the first round of our RM draft... and he was there... I think you turned out fine.

Love the RBs, not as hot on the WRs.

Galloway will tail off (how long have we been saying this?) but Reggie Williams and Larry Fitz are solid, and they're huge in the red zone, which is the most important thing. Although I think Boldin has a better year than Fitz this year despite all the crap.

Williams is great in the red zone, but he is coming off surgery, so that worries me. Not to mention Sweed is like the #4 WR on the Pit depth chart. There has to be a better WR out there on FAs.

You'd be surprised in 14-team HtH leagues. You're in the RM one, right? Check out the waiver wire. It's pretty spare. I was in a couple 12-team leagues last year and I've been in a 10-team league too, and the difference between those last 2-4 teams is pretty stark. The real moves will be once the season starts and you start seeing the randoms bust out, i.e. Colston.

True, the roster seems smaller in that league though.
