i think he has potential in the right place, but at the same time hes annoying as hell. i watched the outtakes of juno and he seems to be a total prick on set.

He's okay. But his character isn't nearly as funny as Gareth Keenan on the original Brit. Office (nor are any of them by comparison for that matter). But I digress...

Don't worry, I agree completely. When people tell me he's better than Gareth I can't believe it.

He does get annoying after a while. He's just over-exposed. Dwight Shrute will be his defining role as an actor. Fine by me. If there's any reason to watch the Office, its for that character.

I think Jim is actually funnier. Sure Dwight reacts to all the stuff that Jim does, but I like his end of it better. The vampire prank comes to mind.

Apatow shouldn't be included with the other two. He's a producer and he's not phoning it in.
And that doesn't change the fact that Rainn Wilson still sucks.
first apatow does phone in. he put his name on the piece of shit movie forgetting sarah marshall, if he even went as far as reading that script, he would have said, "wait this doesn't add up." "these are all easy jokes." "i'm not going to put my name on this mind numbing crap." he should have actually produced the movie, rather than wiping his ass with the script so it stunk of his shit too.
also apatow check out shorts that apatow has put up on funny or die. a lot of them are not funny, but since they own the site, you cant vote against it, and the entire front page of the site is dedicated to which one of their movies is coming out that day. they started it as a user generated site, and now its just the judd apatow show.
it doesn't change the fact that rainn wilson sucks. could be true. but i'm just saying a will ferrel sucks thread, a dane cook isn't funny thread (i feel like there is one already) and a judd apatow makes some of the best disposable comedies that people seem to like for some reason thread should have all come first. so yes i know its but while you were calling out popular figure in the comedy world, i just had to remind people that their are bigger assaults on the world of comedy than rainn wilson. comedy's one of my favorite things ever. its one of the things i see that makes me enjoy life and think life's worth living. i had to vent about some people who may or may not be talented, passing off shit as comedy for long.
and p.s. - rainn wilson is funny on the office. i don't really care that the british guy is better, when they both are funny.
in short my stance on this thread.
rainn wilson = pretty funny. saying rainn wilson sucks = go for it i don't care. those who agree with this thread = i still like you, but dan here wants you to really think about the shit that gets passed off as comedy by those people.

i like him in the office (i've never seen the british version so have nothing to compare it to).
but, he might be the most miscast actor for a role ever in the movie 'my super ex-girlfriend.' every scene he's in just doesn't work. at all. it's really, really bad, and it's all his fault.
