My Mom usually passes her skills on down to her daughters. I spent a few weeks this summer picking out some cabs and other stones to wrap from the store my sister works in. My folks are in the processes of buying the store. Hopefully it works out and the sale goes through.
The store is awesome! It's been in business for over 40 years. My folks are part owners in a Peridot claim in Colorado too.
My sister has taken some jewelry making classes. She sets stones in rings and pendants. And repairs jewelry.
Maybe next time I update my etsy page, I'll have some really nice silver pieces on there. I'm going to take the plunge into more extensive jewelry making. Starting with silver. A popular medium these days is art clay silver. It's all the rage @ etsy! I want to design a set of silver claddagh wedding bands (maybe with inset rubies too). I have some dichroic glass pieces I did too, but I need to wrap them yet.
I'd like to get a paragon kiln, so all donations to the "px table top kiln fund" can be directed to my etsy page in the forms of sales!

I found a cool little bead shop last week. Sadly I don't live in an area that has an extensive selection of supply stores, but this one was practically in my own backyard and I didn't know it until recently.
And the owner of the store gave me a cute idea.
the little flower!
