This is just going to keep on getting wilder and wilder, I wonder if the Giants are going to ask to be the 1989 World Series champions now

I agree that Greenwell is s-o-l. However, this leads to the question should Canseco be stripped of his MVP like an olympic athelete who has his/her metal taken away?

Just makes the 1988 WS champion Dodgers that much more magical that they beat a team full of steroid abusing freaks!

Ken Cammintti won an MVP on steroids and nothing has been change about that. and I don't see anything happening along those lines anytime soon.

the absolute greatest single moment of my entire lifetime. I can watch that over and over and always get chills, like I dont know whats comming next.....The dodgers could win the next 10 WS in a row and it could never replace the 88 Dodgers for me :)

Maybe if Mike Greenwell was able to play a LIIIITLE bit better, he would have won the MVP. Too late.

LOL...Being a Giants fan this was my first thought when hearing the story. I was at Game 3, and it was a pretty brutal series to watch.

Greenwell was a decent player that regressed big time in his later years. As a rook, he was actually pretty good and I do believe he was one of those gold cup rookies around 87, which was my all-time favorite Topps layout, with the wood templates. That's when baseball cards were awesome. I haven't bought a pack in at least a decade.
