Not surprised a thread wasn't started about this. Awesome match going on right now between Djokovic and Cilic. I'm begging it to go to 5 sets. Bigtime tennis going on here.

This is the weakest womens field i've seen in awhile. It's pretty embarrassing how uninteresting their game has become bnecause of the weak competetion. it will be a miracle if one of the Williams sisters doesn't win.
Meanwhile, the mens field is as deep as ever and i'll finally give Federer some due if he comes through with another major here. Too bad it took 4 years for anybody on the mens side to break through. Djokovic/Nadal/Federer, all on top of their games right now which should make for a great week of tennis on the mens side.

Really? I'd say Federer has been nowhere near the top of his game this year. Not saying he can't turn it around at the U.S. Open, but he certainly hasn't demonstrated any reason to think he will in the past few months.

Definitely hasn't been at the top of his game this year but he's as determined as ever to win this tourney and has looked great so far. Probably the hungriest he's been to win a major in years

That I'll agree with. He really doesn't want to see Nadal walk away with 3 this year, plus a gold medal.

I went to the matches last wed and thurs night..finally got to see Roddick play in person..that serve is quite something....I have a weird feeling that Federer is going to walk away from the game in the near future

Roddick LOST.
Not much of a surprise there. Also not a surprise that he choked on his last service game to win the 4th set. I don't mind though, Djokovic has a much better shot at beating Federer than Andy would have.
Andy Murray has easily replaced Jeff Tarango and Marcelo Rios as my most hated tennis player of the last 15 years. The guy is such a whiny pussy. It amazes me his reputation doesn't follow him more than it does. I used to root for him because it was kind of cute to root for "the" British hope for Fred Perry's successor. Screw him now.
Oh and Roddick should continue to get AIDS and die as a bitter failure of a top 10 tennis player. And del Potro is my new boy.

it sucks cause Nadal was starting to catch fire after loking bored the first 2 sets. I still don't understand how they got the 2nd match of the day when they hadn't played since Wednesday. Gives Federer a huge advantage in the final no matter who he plays.

The Nadal/Murray match will continue @ 4pm tomorrow. Women's final tomorrow night @ 9pm.
Men's final scheduled for Monday @ 5pm.
I took Monday off cause i'm gonna get hammered for the Colts game. I also thought maybe the mens final would be played Monday afternoon. A bit disapointed about he 5 pm start time but i'm not gonna complain about a day off.
