I'm heading to Yankee Stadium this June for the Cubs/Yankees' game on the 18th of June. I've never been there before and have no clue what seats to avoid. I'm getting tickets through a friend, but he gave me about 6 options. I've looked at seating charts, but can't figure out how the boxes work. Are there different sections within sections that contain boxes? If a box (say box 318) is Row A, does that mean it is first row within that box? Are there any seats/areas/rows that I should avoid at all costs? Upper deck? Right and left fields? Bleachers?

everytime I go, I buy from the (gulp) scalpers out front....some cheap ones can be had after first pitch.....I will also say that section 9 or 11 or 13 up top on the first base side are good seats for $18 advance buy or $20 the day of the game..Just make sure that you're not getting seats in the family (non drinking) section....

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help.
By the way David, la-ti-frickin'-da with you and your posh "field boxes." "Ooh, look at me, I'm a rich Wisconsin lawyer! I only sit in field boxes at Yankee Stadium!" You make me want to vomit.

bleacher seats are non alcohol..plus you cant get to the rest of the stadium from them..
normally i get seats between 1st/3rd base and the foul pole (any level is good)..i kind of like the middle level that is shaded best..especially on a 90 degree day

OK, I thought I'd resurrect this thread because I have a specific question on certain seats I'm thinking of buying for next Friday's Cubs/Yankees' game. The seats are Field Box, Sec. 34, Box 130, Row H. First, I'm not sure if Box 130 is in FB Sec. 34. Second, the guy who's selling them says they are only 4 rows from the field. Wouldn't Row H be 8 rows from the field. I'm not picky, I just don't want to end up sitting in Tier Reserved Sec. 34. Thanks.
