What do you all think the album will sound like? I'm expecting something world music like, with lots of rhythm and dark 'bassy' voices. Maybe even strings.
groetjes, Mirella
Not sure what to expect but I'm excited about this release.
Has anybody heard some snippet of this album yet?

I would love to see the final tally on sales for this thing. Whatever the number is, it will represent the absolute bare minimum of unconditional PJ fans who will buy anything associated with the band even nearly 20 years into their career.
In my younger days I purchased 3 fish, green romance orchestra, Bayleaf, etc. If jeff doesn't sing on this thing it could actually be interesting. But I've been burned on these side projects before. Can we get a poll going on this? I really don't think Jeff can sell 5000 copies of this disc.

This is very true. I think there are a lot of fans out there that are desperate for any kind of material associated with the band (i am one) but i must admit im not holding my breath for this to be an amazing, ground breaking album. or anything resembling a good album in fact.

Bayleaf, Three Fish and Attention Dimension were excellent albums. The rest of the side projects are average. The Vedder disc had a couple ok songs (e.g.rise) and MadSeason was awesome. I feel this disc is likely to fit in with the best of them, not fall among the rockfords and brad. Not sure why someone who loves Pearl Jam wouldn't try this. And even a thousand people interested in something you created is pretty awesome really. As a fan of his music I can't wait.
Mad Season is great, I agree, but it is certainly not a Mike McCready solo album.
I also agree that Jeff Ament is a very good songwriter, but I think his singing voice is awful. Unless he is releasing a bunch of instrumentals, I am sure I would dislike the CD.

Jeff's Q&A with The Pit posters are answered, and my question is one of the selected. My question was actually a run on to another poster's question, not sure why he only answered mine.

I still buy anything any of the band plays on. I've done it since 1992. A lot of it is shite, but it's just out of fanatacism and habit I guess Just got Jeff's album by the way. I'm optimistic about this. He says it's full o' rockers!
